Everyday Discounts, Georgia (“Everyday Discounts,” “we,” “us”) operates the Everyday Discounts browser extension (the “Service”). This policy explains what information we handle, why we handle it, who may receive it, and the choices and rights available to you. Contact us about privacy at info@everydaydeals.app.
1. Information handled when you use the browser extension
Tab addresses and local offer matching. To identify stores with available offers, the extension can access the URL of the active tab and tab updates on HTTP and HTTPS websites. It extracts the domain and checks it against a downloaded list of eligible offers in your browser. It uses the result to show an offer, a discount badge, or an optional on-page alert. This local matching does not send each visited tab URL to Everyday Discounts. The current extension code does not read page text, form entries, payment details, or website cookies to find offers.
Data stored in your browser. The extension saves the offer list, extension preferences, domains where offers were activated or dismissed, activation counts and times, and offer synchronization information in local browser extension storage. These records support the interface and help avoid repeating alerts too frequently.
Requests to Everyday Discounts services. The extension periodically connects to Everyday Discounts services at everydaydeals.app to download configuration and information about available discounts. These requests may include standard connection information, such as your IP address, request time, and browser request headers. The downloaded information is stored and matched locally in your browser.
Activation after your click. When you click Activate, the extension sends the relevant destination URL to our activation service. Depending on the offer, this may be the full page URL or only the website’s origin. The URL may contain a path, query parameters, or a fragment added by the website. The service may then direct your browser through an affiliate partner to the merchant, either in the current tab or a temporary tab. Visiting a website alone does not activate an affiliate link.
The extension does not ask you to create an Everyday Discounts account or provide a name, email address, or payment details. Its current code does not include a separate analytics or advertising SDK and does not send your full browsing history to our servers in the background.
2. Why we handle information
We use the information described above to display relevant offers, route an offer you choose to activate, remember extension settings, update offers, attribute eligible affiliate referrals, diagnose failures, prevent abuse, and comply with applicable legal obligations. We do not use tab addresses read by the extension to build a browsing profile for advertisers.
Where data protection law requires a legal basis, processing an offer you choose may be necessary to provide the service you requested. We rely on legitimate interests where permitted to secure and troubleshoot the Service and maintain affiliate attribution records, taking account of your rights. Processing required by law rests on the applicable legal obligation.
3. Who may receive information
Merchants and affiliate services. When you activate an extension offer, the parties needed to route that particular link and attribute an eligible purchase may receive the destination URL or store domain, a referral or partner identifier, and technical request information such as IP address and browser headers. Which parties receive a request depends on the offer. A merchant may report whether a referral resulted in an eligible transaction through its affiliate service. We do not provide affiliate services with a list of every website you visit through the extension.
Technical providers. Providers that host, deliver, protect, or maintain our configuration service, offer feed, activation service, or email may process information needed to provide those services to us.
Other disclosures. We may disclose information if required by applicable law, in response to a valid legal request, or as reasonably needed to protect users and our rights. Information may also transfer as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of the business, subject to applicable law.
External merchants and other sites you visit have their own privacy practices. Please read their notices before sharing information with them.
4. Storage and retention
The extension keeps local offer, settings, activation, and dismissal data until you clear its data or uninstall it. Its 30-day activation period and 7-day dismissal cooldown determine when an offer appears again; they are not deletion periods for local records.
We currently retain server request logs indefinitely. Those logs may include IP address, request time, request headers, the requested service endpoint, and, for an extension activation, the destination URL included in the request. Clearing local browser data or uninstalling the extension does not delete server logs. We assess requests to access or erase personal information in those logs under applicable law. Messages you send us are retained as needed to respond and keep a record of the request.
5. Your choices and rights
You can avoid sending an activation destination URL by not clicking Activate. You can disable or uninstall the extension to stop it from accessing tab URLs. You can clear its locally stored data with your browser’s extension data controls. You can turn off on-page alerts in extension settings; while enabled, the extension still checks website domains to show offers in its popup and badge.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to ask whether we hold personal information about you, receive a copy, correct or delete it, restrict or object to certain uses, or receive portable data. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it. You may complain to a data protection authority. To exercise your rights, email info@everydaydeals.app. We may ask for reasonable information to verify your identity and identify the relevant data. We will respond within the time required by applicable law and explain any lawful limit on a request. Data stored only in your browser may need to be accessed or deleted there because we cannot identify it from our servers without information linking it to you.
6. International processing and security
Our technical providers, affiliate services, and merchants may operate in different countries. Transfers of personal information outside your country may require safeguards under applicable law. Contact us for information about safeguards relevant to a particular transfer. The extension uses HTTPS for its configuration, offer-list, and activation requests. We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, but no internet service or storage method is completely secure.
7. Children
The Service is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly seek their personal information. If you believe a child has provided information to us, email info@everydaydeals.app so we can assess and remove it as appropriate.
8. Changes and contact
We will update this policy and its date when our practices change. Where law requires notice or consent before a new use of information, we will provide it. This policy does not replace the privacy notices of merchants and other external sites you visit.
